So far the course has been very enjoyable; covering a wide range of different subjects and giving me the opportunity to get a better overview of engineering.

Why Manchester?

I wanted to study mechanical engineering due to my interest in cars and their engines, turbines, physics and maths. I chose The University of Manchester because of its high academic rankings in the UK and internationally. Also, I believe that studying at a university with such a long and established history gives your degree a high level of prestige.

About the course

So far the course has been very enjoyable; covering a wide range of different subjects and giving me the opportunity to get a better overview of engineering. I have especially enjoyed the Design unit, where knowledge of theory meets with practical work.

Peer support

I had the opportunity to be part of the Peer Assisted Study Scheme (PASS) helping out new students who are unfamiliar with the course. Right now I am PASS Coordinator, allowing me to organise the scheme and further improve it for future years.
