Bioengineering Expert Group
The Bioengineering special interest group is concerned with the solution of medical and biological problems through the application of engineering techniques. The aim is to promote a healthy society by undertaking research activities and forming links with hospitals and other schools within the university.
The group undertakes research in biomechanics, biomaterials, bioinstrumentation etc in order to investigate problems including biomechanical functions, design and manufacturing aspects, clinical and laboratory evaluation using a variety of techniques amongst others, finite and boundary element analysis, MRI and CT technology.
