The First International Conference of Protective Structures

The First International Conference of Protective Structures will be held in The University of Manchester from September 29 to October 1st, 2010. It will focus on the protection of civil engineering infrastructure (building, bridge, pipeline, dam, etc.) against natural and man-made explosion and impact actions such as terrorist bombing, accidental gas explosion and vehicle (car, airplane, ship) impact with structures. It is planned that the International Association of Protective Structures will be established during The First International Conference of Protective Structures, and its subsequent series will become a regular forum for the International Association of Protective Structures.
