Student societies

Our students are involved with, as well as lead, a wide range of active groups and societies across all degree disciplines.

MACE Sports Teams

There are several sports teams to get involved with within the School: we have teams in both the men’s 11 a side campus football league and the rugby union campus league, and Civil Engineering has a team competing in the ladies campus netball league. More information about Sport Manchester.

MANSEDS is the Manchester sub-group of UKSEDS (UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space) and we aim to promote the importance of the space industry. We will develop the practical skills of MANSEDS members by building and launching our own rockets and high-altitude balloons.

PGR MACE aim to increase interaction between postgraduate research students in the School by organising events and activities for students.
