School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering

Information for schools and teachers

alternative text

The School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering welcomes School groups onto campus for years 10, 11 and 12.

A visit generally will comprise of a general information talk and introduction to Engineering and a tour of our labs but more importantly a visit provides an opportunity for pupils to talk to our current undergraduate students and to come away from a visit knowing whether Engineering is the right programme for them.

However, if you prefer for us to visit your school to talk to students that can be arranged but do remember, our labs and exciting demonstrations are generally not transportable.

Please do not hesitate to ring Sue Hubbard, Student Recruitment & Admissions Manager on +44 (0) 161 306 8969 or email sue.hubbard@manchester.ac.uk to discuss your individual school requirements.

As a School we are keen to develop links with teachers, in particular Maths and Physics staff in order to further the understanding of Engineering by students and the range of careers available to them. We look forward to hearing from you.
