All enrolled students at The University of Manchester are assigned a personal tutor from amongst the academic staff. The tutor is able to advise the students on range of topics including academic related topics (such as course requirements, progress, progression, changes of course, etc.) and non-academic topics (such as accommodation, finance, etc.) All students at the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering see their tutor at least once per week during their first and second year, and when required in subsequent years.
In addition to the tutorial system, students at the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering have support from more experienced students through a student-run, volunteer organisation. Further details...
