Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering

Primary schools

Our Department is passionate about making engineering inclusive and accessible by igniting the curiosity of young students.

Engaging engineers of the future at a young age is hugely important to the University and the sector as a whole.

We run specific activities, as well as workshops, talks and campus visits that we can flexibly arrange. Please contact us with any enquiries so that we can arrange a session.

Bring Your Daughter to Work Day

The University encourages staff members and parents to bring young children to meet our engineering staff.

Our Bring Your Daughter to Work Day warmly welcomes female primary school pupils and the children of staff working here at the University to our campus.

This day features interactive activities and a Q&A panel with female engineering role models to inspire passion and interest for engineering and science.

Whether you're a staff member here, or you simply wish to introduce your daughter to engineering with the help of our University, please get in touch with our support staff with your enquiries.
