Centre for Nuclear Energy Technology (C-NET)

The Centre for Nuclear Energy Technology C-NET was established as a joint investment between The University of Manchester and the former North West Development Agency.

With the advent of new nuclear build the development of the necessary skills and infrastructure is vital to the nuclear industry.

C-NET exists to support the nuclear energy industry in improving the skills of the existing workforce, training a new generation of nuclear experts and providing research facilities to leading industry bodies.

Research focus

The activities and capabilities of C-NET fall into four broad thematic areas:

  • society and sustainability
