Within the Management of Projects research theme, we have experience and capability in researching process, people and technological issues associated with the policies and practices of project-based organisations.

Specifically, theme members have internationally-recognised expertise in risk management, conflict and dispute resolution, contracts and procurement, supply chains and inter-organisational relations, decision-making and strategy, information and knowledge management, organisational and cultural issues in projects, and sustainable development. The theme is host to around 40 doctoral researchers.

Collectively, members of the management of projects research theme actively employ a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods to study a wide spectrum of issues that cover the whole life cycle of project organisations and operations, including user-centric design and innovation especially at the early stages of projects, new business models for managing projects, and asset and portfolio management.
