Commercial Project Management [MSc]

This MSc course provides state-of-the-art project management education at postgraduate level.

The MSc in Commercial Project Management prepares students for a professional role in the management of commercial projects by providing students with an understanding of the both the people-related and technical requirements necessary for the successful management of projects, as well as the organisational and strategic aspects; it also stresses the commercial aspects of project management: for example, marketing and sales, financial management, procurement, bidding and contract management.

This MSc is one of four full time MSc courses within the Management of Projects Group of Programmes. The other full time MSc courses are:

The MScs within the Management of Projects group of programmes are full-time courses which run for 52 weeks.

There are 12 teaching weeks in the first semester from September to December and 12 teaching weeks in the second semester from February to June.

Dissertation: on successful completion of the taught element, you are expected to work on a dissertation from June and complete ready for submission by the beginning of September. The  dissertation commences when you have successfully completed the taught element of 8 units, including 6 core and 2 optional units, approved by the Examination Board in June. You can then proceed to working on and writing up your dissertation from June and must submit it by September.

Graduation: if successful you graduate in December.
