Kelechi G. Obi-Mgbam is a Project/Facilities Engineer at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,Nigeria
The opportunity of undertaking the MSc study was offered by the British Chevening Scholarship programme. This was because I demonstrated to the Scholarship body, the relevance of Maintenance in the overall development of my Nation. Then, working as a Maintenance Engineer in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, my quest for this study was elicited by the numerous challenges we faced in the Industry, my Country as well as my resolve to contribute my quota towards curbing some of these.
Hence, it was no surprise that I could easily fit into this course – MSc Maintenance Engineering and Asset Management. This program, which showcases and integrates industry-gathered experiences (from the vast inputs of the Lecturers) with theoretical knowledge, is succinctly tailored to address many of the reliability/maintenance challenges in the Industry.
Currently working as a Project/Facilities Engineer, I apply these rich experiences obtained in the prestigious University of Manchester to my work and also help our Partnership companies to a better appreciation of Maintenance.
