Our UAV Society took part in the BMFA Electric Lift Challenge 2013 in Elvington, near York for the second year running, building on their success from 2012.
The Society entered 4 teams into the competition, made up of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students, from all year groups, and brought home 2nd and 4th place in the competition! UAV society chair Raja Pitalia said:
“The first year team, led by William Tan, performed well above what was expected and secured 4th place comfortably with outstanding contributions from Bagrat Rashoyan”
Congratulations to a team of third year Aerospace Engineering students who competed in the AIAA CanSat competition 2013. Six members of the team flew out to Abilene in Texas for the final element of the competition and came 10th out of 45 teams- a great achievement for a first time team and the only team in Western Europe to take part! Team Leader Mike Johnson said:
“The School of MACE gave us a great opportunity to showcase our talent and the whole team thanks them for their support!”
