All applications are considered on an individual basis and when reviewing applications we look at all the details on the UCAS form, including previous grades and subjects, predicted grades, the personal stament and academic reference. We look for evidence of commitment and interest in the subject and your potential for success at the course you have applied for.
We offer deferred entry for one year to applicants taking a gap year before starting their university studies. You should let us know as early as possible if you wish to defer your entry.
If we receive applications from students who do not meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, they may be considered for a place on our one year Foundation Year in Engineering course. Upon successful completion of the University of Manchester Foundation Year, students would automatically progress onto the first year of one of the undergraduate Engineering courses.
