Our open days provide an opportunity for you and your family to visit not only our Department but also the wider University.
During your visit you'll have the opportunity to talk to staff and current students, find out more about courses and subjects, visit labs and watch demonstrations.
You can also find out more about MACE's various clubs and societies, including Formula Student, the UAV Society, the Flight Simulator Society and Engineers Without Borders.

Undergraduate open days
The University runs a series of undergraduate open days throughout the year. These open days give you the chance to attend a range of taster lectures and talks about our courses.
The dates of our next open days are:
- 19 and 20 June 2020
- 3 and 10 October 2020
Spaces are limited and you must book your place on the main University website:
UK-based applicants who receive an offer of a place on one of our undergraduate courses will be invited to attend one of our UCAS visit days.
The visit days are subject-specific and provide an opportunity to explore the Department, meet members of staff and current students who can tell you about studying and living in Manchester. Parents are also welcome to attend the visit day and we arrange a separate programme for them.
Visit days generally take place on Wednesday afternoons between November and March each year. Offer-holders will be sent an invitation by email. If you are unable to attend or have already had the opportunity to visit the Department on another occasion, for example at an open day, attendance at the UCAS visit day is not compulsory.
If you are not able to attend one of our open or visit days but would like to come and look around, please contact our admissions office.
Postgraduate open days
Our postgraduate open days are a great opportunity for you to get advice on your options for postgraduate study, and to find out what Manchester has to offer.
